Decorating a child's room can definitely be a challenge, especially because all kids have such a unique personality. You want to make your child's room a place where they can both play and rest comfortably.
The most common complaint that we hear on a daily basis from parents is how to best utilize the available space. I think as parent's we've all sat on the floor of our child's room trying to sketch out a visual of how we'd like the room to look. Been there? I know I sure have!
The second most popular comments we receive have to do with storage space for all those toys! You want the room to look beautiful without all the clutter but you still want all the toys to be easily accessed. Otherwise, what's the point in having them if they can't even be played with?

Well I'm going to share with you my favorite space saving tip that I received from a friend. It's quite simple but I never would have thought of it as a viable solution to my space issues. She recommended that I place my daughter's dresser in the closet. What a genious idea! I slid her dresser into the closet and suddenly I had all this extra space to use. Now all her clothes are tidy behind closet doors, either in the dresser or hanging on the rod above. In the new space, I have placed a kids' sized table and chairs. My daughter now has a place to either colour, do puzzles or whatever. Above the table I hung a little shelf with pegs. On the pegs I have small hanging buckets (available at any craft store) for things like her markers and crayons.
